The Detroit Lions announced
in a statement that Mosley would be suspended two weeks, but Caldwell wouldn't identify whether that
included next week's bye or not.
But the Lions won't say
whether Mosley will be back in Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins, or Week 11
against the Arizona Cardinals.
He did miss Sunday's 22-21
win Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons in London .
It's there, we released a
statement on him. It's out there, that's what it is, and we're going to leave
it at that.

The Lions said in the release
that Mosley was sent home to the U.S. after committing an
unspecified violation of team rules. It's unclear what occurred, but Mosley
does still seem to have the support of the defensive line.
Defensive end Jason Jones
said ,C.J.'s our brother.
He'll be back, and he'll be
ready to go.
Mosley's loss is a blow
because the Lions like to rotate a lot up front, and he's the top reserve
behind starters Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley. He had been playing well.
Without Mosley, the Lions had
to turn to rookie Caraun Reid -- a far less helpful player this season -- as
the top reserve against Atlanta .
Due to a knee injury Mosley's absence was exacerbated by Fairley's exit in the
second quarter.
That meant Reid saw a steady
diet of reps, with two of Detroit 's
top three defensive tackles out. Suh also seemed to play more than usual,
though that won't be known for certain until the snap counts are out Monday
morning.
To the absence of Fairley and
Mosley, the Lions adjusted well blanking Atlanta
in the final two quarters.
It's a gutty game that our guys have to play.
So there are injuries that occur, and we just have to adjust.
We make no excuses, no matter
who is in there. If we had only one guy left, and we had to put our linebacker
in there with his hand in the ground, he's got to go and get the job done.
